a master of none... is better than a master of one
Hey! I'm Jack.
I’m a product designer and front-end developer with a focus on motion design who builds real things - but I've got a little kid inside that still loves that edgy new tech stuff. I started on the dev side, moved into design, and spent the last ~15 years living at the intersection of product/UX design and development (AI-powered experiences are the latest frontier). The titles have changed along the way, but I'm a problem solver. I love to design and build real things that are nice to use and could maybe - just maybe - make you crack a smile.
I cut my teeth at a WordPress development shop in Atlanta some time ago, where I slowly but surely talked my way into design work. Turns out that worked out pretty well. Since then, I’ve gotten to design and build products end-to-end: UX, UI, design systems, front-end architecture, and now AI-powered experiences.
I love motion design and with Nodal I really got to focus on it. I care about clarity, craft, and momentum. There's a really nice feeling when you can make something move in a way that feels natural and intentional - when it actually 'snaps' into place.
Based in Savannah, GA. Always building something or touching grass with my partner wife Shelby, our dog Presley, and our cat Naava.
